Five Impressions after a Week in Krushevo

In my opinion, it’s rare for something to live up to lofty expectations. It’s so normal for our first encounter with some place or person to fall short of the mental images we’ve conjured. In America especially, it’s commonplace to exaggerate good qualities and minimize bad ones so you can make your point. To a certain degree, it’s acceptable and even encouraged to partake in grandiose, verbose rhetoric. Naturally, everyone recognizes that and thus Americans quickly learn how to manage expectations. I mention all of this because it’s rather pertinent to my first impressions of Krushevo.

New Year's Celebration for the Youngest

On the 28th of December the students from the high school Naum Naumovski Borce, the primary school Nikola Karev, the kindergarten Gonca Tufa with the support of the Municipality of Krusevo in hotel Montana Palace organize New Year's performance for the youngest, their close ones and everyone interested with the performance.

The program has been prepared by the mentioned students and it will start at 12 o'clock.

Accompanying the New Year's Eve celebration at the town center, at the city park a New Year's Bazaar will be held the same day. Official organizer of the event is the municipality of Krusevo, and the high school from Krusevo, the NGO Krusevska zena and others will take part in this New Year's Bazaar.

The bazaar will begin at 11 a.m. on the 31st of December.

The Macedonian singer Aleksandra Janeva will have the main role on the New Year's celebration in Krusevo.

The party starts at 21:00 pm with a warm up by DJ Hugo, and the citizens and tourists are welcoming the New 2019 with a performance by Aleksandra Janeva.

The city square is the place where the celebration will be taking place

Macedonian and Hungarian Open Krusevo 2018

“The Macedonian and Hungarian Open, part of the PreWorld Paragliding Tour 2018, took place in Krusevo from the 5th to the 11th of August, with 134 paragliders taking part. Furthermore, there were yet another 100 free gliders who took off from the site at Meckin Kamen, and filled the sky with various colours.

Still to come is the Nordic Open, starting on the 26th of August.”

FIS Rler Ski Cup Tose Proeski

On the 24th of August the FIS Roler Sci Cup Tose Proeski will take place in Krusevo with two races on the regional road Krivogastani-Krusevo.

The event starts with official training on Friday at 15:00, and the are scheduled for 9AM on Saturday - Individual Start Skating Uphill), 12 km for men, and 6km for women.

Sunday, agains tarting from 9AM, 10km for men and 5 km for women.

Tennis Training for the Youngest

On the 10th of August on the tennis fields in Krusevo the tennis school for the youngest ones will take place for a second time. 

Those who want to participate should be at the tennis fields at 9 o'clock sharp and bring suitable clothes for the purposes of the school.

The tennis school has been organized by the tennis club Jug from Skopje for the second time in Krusevo.  

10 Days Krusevo Republic Closing Ceremony

The closing ceremony of 10 Days Krusevo Republic will begin with a concert by Big Band - Jazz Musicians Association in front of the monument Ilinden. After that there will be symbolical discenting and sheltering of the Krusevo Republic flag an honorary pursuit in the memory of the Ilinden Uprising fighters. The closing ceremony starts at 20:30.

The famous Macedonian musician Vlatko Stefanovski will be performing in Krusevo on the 9th of August, as part of the Ten Days Krusevo Republic Manifestation. Vlatko Stefanovski is regionally recognized guitar player who has been performing for several decades now, and this is not his first time in Krusevo. His performance is scheduled for the 9th of August, from 21:30 at the city park in Krusevo.
