Friday (06.27.2018) will mark the grand opening of the Paragliding & Adventure Tourism Info Center in Krusevo.

The Center is already servicing visitors by providing information as well as bikes for rent.

The grand opening will start at 1 p.m. with Krusevo Mayor Mr. Tome Hristoski, the Director of the Support and Promotion of Tourism Agency Mr. Ljupco Janevskiand, and representatives from the Embassy of Switzerland in attendance.

“Without trying to brag, Krushevo’s citizens like to point out that their town is the highest in the entire Balkans. At a height of 1250 meters, and with only 5300 people occupying it, this is a place where the mind can wander.

Surrounded by impeccable nature and incredible altitude, Krushevo is straight out of a fairy tale – a countryside parallel to that of a private resort, if you will.

Well known Macedonian singer Vlatko Lozanoski will be performing at the opening of the “Ten Day Krusevo Republic” Manifestation on the 1st of August in Krusevo.

He will be accompanied by his band, and the stage for the event will be set at the historical location of Gumenje in Krusevo.

Kruševo is a small town in western Macedonia. Historic Kruševo was once the center of the Macedonian Ilinden-Uprising. Today the main celebration of this National holiday, on August 2nd, is held here. Kruševo is the center of the Vlach minority in Macedonia.

The Municipality of Krusevo will work together with the Macedonian Youth and Sport Agency and the Aeronautical Federation of Macedonia to promote the European Gliding Championship which will start on the 8th of July and last until the 21st.

In the period to follow there will be several press conferences, TV advertisements and Facebook campaigns devoted exclusively to the European Gliding Championship.
